Abstract

Abstract

The CES (Consumer Electronics Show) recently highlighted that the IoT (Internet of Things), connected devices, and the resulting generation of unstructured data are going to be central to the growth trends in 2015.
In this session, we will look at the architectural design decisions, which make Riak a perfect fit for huge quantities of real time unstructured data. We will also analyse a specific use case where Riak powers a smart metering service collecting billions of data points on consumer usage.

“Riak is very easily managed and when a Riak node went down for a day we didn’t even notice because the other nodes compensated.”

Paul Barry, managing director of Temetra

Speaker: Nicholas Bellerephon
