Abstract

Abstract
Why do some websites seem blazingly fast while others leave you yelling at the screen? Better code and screaming servers is only part of the answer these days.
In a very down-to-earth talk, we'll discuss what web performance actually is: How to measure it, understand the basic principles and design websites, applications and services that perform and scale well.
The talk only assumes basic knowledge of web technologies and is relevant to anyone caring about happy web users.
