"High level introduction to graph databases" by Stefan Plantikow
Abstract:
This session is a high level introduction to graph databases. We will review the difference between relational and graph models and then demonstrates the power of graph databases like Neo4j to query connected data using the Cypher Query Language. Customer use cases such as eBay or Telenor will illustrate the benefits of a graph approach.
Bio:
Stefan Plantikow works as an engineer with neo technology where he takes part in developing the Cypher query language and the graph database kernel. Stefan is a computer scientist with a specialization in distributed and concurrent systems and transaction processing. He has worked in enterprise application integration in the industry, and as a researcher in distributed systems, data management, and graph sharding. He is passionate about computer language design and how languages influence software development. Based in Germany, he regularly gives talks at NoSQL and other events about graph technology.
