Short Bio

Michael Hunger has been passionate about many aspects of software development even before he received his Master of CS.

He is particularly interested in the people developing software, software craftsmanship, programming languages and improving code.

He likes coaching and in-project development as an independent consultant ("better software development evangelist" - jexp.de) for small and mid-sized customers.

Talk: How can a graph database help you to make sense of your data

You might have heard of graph databases and and want to know what they are good for. You might have seen facebook graph search and wondered how to implement that for yourself. You might have tried to manage a nicely connected domain in a relational database and experienced the join pain. Or you just wanted to keep the richness of the model you developed with your colleagues on the whiteboard even when persisted in a datastore.

In this geek night I want to give answers to these questions and demonstrate with real-world examples how users of a graph database like Neo4j solve them.

This GotoNight is a great ending for the day if you attended the Neo4j Tutorial, an exceptional opportunity to discuss things you've learned and wanted to take further.
