"15 Years after the Agile Manifesto" by Bas van der Hoek

Abstract
It's February 2016, 15 years after the Agile manifesto. Where do we stand and what is ahead?

I will take you on a tour of different organizational structures, and talk about the move to self-directed teams, and the difference with self-organizing teams. Along the way, I will share some of my experiences with Scrum at Albert Heijn, de Tweede Kamer, and Waternet.

Bio
Bas van der Hoek is an agile coach and scrum trainer at Zilverline. He coaches development and management teams in the transformation to agile and lean methods, so they deliver faster and more effective on the promise of software benefits. Hands-on if he has to. "Measuring Team Performance At Spotify: From Gut Feel To Hard Data" by Danielle Jabin

Abstract
How do we actually know if our teams are doing well? Is gut instinct enough? Furthermore, in a rapidly growing organization such as Spotify, how can we ensure some sort of consistency in our baseline level of Agile knowledge across the technology, product, and design organization?

In this talk, I'll discuss techniques we have developed and use at Spotify to benchmark health and performance for our teams and some tactics we use to bring them closer to—and beyond!—being the best teams they can be. I'll explain frameworks that can be used to give us tangible evidence about how we're doing as teams, as Agile Coaches, and as managers of people and product. Furthermore, I'll tell you about the organization-level methods we use at Spotify to share knowledge and maintain alignment of our agile practices as we scale in order to bring music to people all around the world.

Bio
Danielle Jabin is a Data Engineer at Spotify focused on building infrastructure for processing and analyzing A/B testing-related data. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the engineering school and a Bachelor's degree from The Wharton School with concentrations in Statistics and Real Estate. She is originally from San Diego, California but now lives in Stockholm, Sweden.
