"Reactive Programming in Spring 5" by Arjen Poutsma
Abstract
In this talk, we’ll dive into one of the main features of the upcoming Spring 5: Reactive Programming. We will define what "reactive" means and why it matters, learn about Reactive Streams and Reactive Extensions and the emerging ecosystem around them. We will also present what the reactive programming model in Spring 5 may look like.
Bio
Arjen Poutsma is a software engineer on the Spring team at Pivotal SpringSource with twenty years' experience in commercial software environments. He worked on Spring Web Services, Spring MVC, Spring Scala and is currently working on Spring 5.

"A Guided Tour of Spring Boot" by Andy Wilkinson
Abstract
We'll go on a guided talk of Spring Boot, looking at how its convention-over-configuration approach can accelerate your development of Spring applications, including a discussion of some of the features that are new in Spring Boot 1.3 and how to get started. We'll also look at some of Boot's production-ready features that continue to make your life easier once development's complete.

Andy is a software developer on the Spring team at Pivotal where he works on Spring Boot, Spring REST Docs and the Spring IO Platform. When he's not working with server-side Java, Andy enjoys the different challenges presented by developing for iOS.
