Host: Rasmus Nygaard Andersen, Comiit ApS

When: 24. Jun 2014 at 16:30 - 18:30

Where: Trifork A/S, Margrethepladsen 4, 8000 Aarhus C

Abstract

Introduction to open source concurrency framework Disruptor.Net and how to use it for high performance concurrent programming. I will try to explain some common bottlenecks in concurrent applications and how Disruptor overcomes these and thereby a gentle introduction to lockless concurrent programming. Will also give examples of how I have used Disruptor.Net and samples of applications and architectures it can be used with. Even though you are not planning on using Disruptor this could give you insights into some issues in the world of concurrent programming you might not be aware of.
