Why do we insist on the wrong type of contract

Abstract
It doesn’t have to be like that! Shared risk contracts have been around for years and the only real problem is that too few are using them. Many vendors and customers claiming to be “Agile” willingly sign contracts that are anything but flexible and immediately turn all attention to reaching a predefined scope. Sometimes within minutes after agreeing that this time we will work in an Agile way (whatever that means).
In this session Jesper will suggest real alternatives and data showing how they work in real life. Different contexts require different versions of the shared risk model and we have not yet found a “one size fits all”. Come along and be inspired to look contracts from a different perspective and how to solve the paradox of allocating a budget to an uncertain scope without putting all risk on either the customer or vendor side.
