Abstract

With Clojure and the Overtone music framework, you can explore and create sound using functions and data structures directly in your editor while the music is playing.

We'll start out with a brief introduction to Clojure, Emacs and overtone so that both musicians and programmers can follow along. After this, we'll code up some jazz, generate a bit of algorithmic music, and do a little sound synthesis with s-expressions!

After the talks we will have drinks at the local bar, provided by the organizers.
