This presentation will introduce Scrum as a management framework for software development. The basics of Scrum (3 roles, 3 meetings and 3 artefacts) will be explained.
Examples from the real world will show that you can improve the team efficiency and thus deliver valuable software to the customer faster and better.
Introduction to iPhone application programming (Kresten Krab Thorup)
In this talk Kresten Krab Thorup will give a short introduction to the iPhone application platform, the tools and the Objective-C programming language used for writing iPhone applications. You will also get a demonstration of the development tools, so you can see the steps it takes to build real applications.
About the speakers
Stig: Cand. polyt in Data Technology. Co-author of “Quality Management in Systems Development” and Certified Scrum Master, Product Owner, Sceum Practitioner and PMP. Employed at Trifork A/S since 2007. Responsible for Trifork’s Process Improvement courses, consultancy etc. 18 years of experience in managing development of complex and business critical software systems. Previously worked three years at TDC A/S as VP, responsible for IT Strategy development, IT processes and as program manager. Worked at Systematic A/S for six years as Business Unit Director, responsible for software development to the healthcare sector. Worked eight years in Danske Bank A/S as project leader responsible for software development e.g for their netbank.
Kresten: Kresten Krab Thorup is CTO of Trifork, Ph.D. in computer science. Before joining Trifork, Kresten worked at NeXT, the company that developed what is now known as MacOS X (after NeXT was acquired by Apple). Kresten worked in the development tools group, where he was responsible for the compilers and runtime systems on the NeXT platform.
